Can I Take a Group Ride with Bimba?
Yes! Group rides are a fun way to explore with friends and family. With Bimba, you can unlock multiple bikes using one account and ride together seamlessly.
How to Start a Group Ride
- Update the App: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Bimba app.
- Start the Group Ride: Tap “Start Group Ride” on the map screen.
- Unlock Bikes:
- Scan the first bike and start the ride.
- Scan additional bikes, up to 2 bikes total per group ride.
- Enjoy the Ride: Hit the road with your group and explore together!
Ending a Group Ride
To end your group ride, follow these steps:
- End each ride individually by tapping “End Ride” and completing any required parking checks.
- If one bike encounters an issue or runs out of battery, you can swap it out without ending the other rides.
- Once all rides have ended, you’ll receive a receipt with the full cost breakdown of your group ride.
Important Notes
- Parking Rules: Ensure all bikes are parked in approved areas and follow Bimba’s parking guidelines. Check the app map for parking zones ahead of time.
- Pausing: Group rides do not allow pausing.
- Responsibility: As the host, you’re responsible for all rides in your group, including any fines, damages, or injuries caused by your group members.
- Promotions and Passes: Any discounts or passes will only apply to the first bike in the group ride.
Availability
Group rides may not yet be available in all areas. Look for the “Start Group Ride” button in the app to see if this feature is supported in your city.
