I Can’t End My Bimba Ride
If you’re having trouble ending your ride with Bimba, try the following steps:
1. Check Your Location
- Make sure you’re not in a No-Park Zone or outside the riding area. The app will not allow you to end the ride if you’re in these areas.
- Use the in-app map to find an approved parking area. Move the bike to an allowed zone to complete your trip.
2. Full Parking Spots
- If the app indicates that the parking spot is full, tap “Find Parking” to get directions to the nearest available location.
- A parking spot may be considered full if it has reached the maximum number of bikes allowed by local regulations.
3. Manually Lock the Bike
- For bikes with a manual wheel lock, ensure the back wheel is properly secured:
- Pull the pin from the back of the fender and insert it into the side wheel lock.
- Roll the bike slightly forward if the pin doesn’t lock into place immediately—you should hear a click when it’s locked.
4. Return the Helmet (if applicable)
- If a helmet was provided, ensure it’s securely hooked back onto its holder. Wait for the beep confirmation, which indicates the helmet is properly returned and the ride can be ended.
5. Check Your Internet Connection
- Ensure your mobile data or Wi-Fi connection is stable. Toggle it off and on again to refresh the connection.
6. Stand Next to the Bike
- Stand close to the bike when ending the ride. If you’ve walked away, the connection might be unstable, preventing the ride from being completed.
7. Adjust the Bike’s Position
- Move the bike a few meters in either direction to help the GPS register the correct position.
8. Restart the App
- Restart the Bimba app. Sometimes the app may freeze, and it can take up to 60 seconds to update the end-of-ride status.
