Bimba Safety Tips

Your safety, and the safety of others, is our top priority. Follow these tips to ensure a smooth and secure ride every time you hop on a Bimba bike.

βœ… Quick Safety Check Before Every Ride

Before starting your ride, take a moment to inspect your bike:

  • Lights: Are they working properly?
  • Brakes: Squeeze the brake levers to ensure they respond.
  • Tires: Are they fully inflated and in good condition?
  • Wires: Are there any loose or exposed wires?
  • Visible Damage: Is the bike free of any major damage?

If anything seems damaged or malfunctioning, report the issue in the app by selecting the bike on the map and tapping “Report Issue.” Find another bike nearby to ensure a safe ride.

🚲 Tips for Safe Riding

  • One rider per bike – Never share a bike with another person.
  • Stay focused – Avoid distractions like headphones, texting, or using your phone while riding.
  • Follow local traffic laws – Be aware of cars, other bikes, and pedestrians.
  • Ride smoothly – Avoid sudden moves and keep a safe distance from others to allow enough time to brake.
  • Control your speed – Avoid hard braking or sudden acceleration, especially on slippery surfaces.
  • Don’t ride or park on sidewalks – Keep pedestrian areas clear. Always park at a designated Bimba station.
  • Never ride under the influence – Drinking and riding is dangerous and strictly prohibited.
  • Wear a helmet – Even if not required by law, a helmet is a key safety measure. Riders are responsible for their own safety.
  • Be visible at night – Wear reflective gear when riding in the dark or low-visibility conditions like fog.

⚠️ Respect the Rules & Avoid Fines

This list highlights key safety rules, but you are responsible for following local traffic laws and Bimba’s Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply may result in legal or administrative fines.
