Your 60-second pre-ride check

Before entering traffic, test both brakes while stationary and look at the tires, wheels, frame, handlebar, lights and controls. Adjust the e-bike saddle or establish a stable stance on the e-scooter. Confirm that the battery, active riding corridor and destination parking shown in the app fit the trip.

1. Choose another vehicle if a brake feels weak or a tire, wheel, steering control or frame looks damaged.
2. Wear a correctly fitted helmet and secure bags or loose items before moving.
3. Start slowly in a clear area so you can feel the acceleration, balance and braking response.

The main road can change between dry dust, loose sand, potholes, mud, standing water, pedestrians, dogs, motorcycles, ATVs and cars. Reduce speed and leave more stopping distance when visibility or grip is reduced. Do not begin during heavy rain, flooding, darkness or any condition outside your experience.

Stop when the vehicle feels different

If the steering, brakes, tire, wheel, motor or controls feel unusual, slow down smoothly and stop away from moving traffic as soon as it is safe. Do not test the problem in traffic, attempt a repair or continue hoping it disappears.
